The role exists to provide clinical services within a team structure to support children with disabilities to meet their identified needs.

Our therapy services are based on a family centred philosophy, which emphasises a collaborative team approach, working towards achieving goals identified by children with disabilities and their families.

This role is based in Armidale. The current team includes a senior occupational therapist, speech pathologist, physiotherapist and team administrator. The team provide services throughout the beautiful New England Region and may also support service delivery to the Mid North Coast.

This role offers flexible working hours with the successful applicant able to work Saturdays if preferred. Ongoing mentoring and clinical support is provided by a senior clinician.

Must Have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Eligibility for professional registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated advanced communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Current NSW drivers licence
  • Able to fly on small planes to and from Sydney
  • Current Apply First Aid Certificate within three (3) months of commencement

Great To Have:

  • Experience working with people with disabilities and their families
  • Demonstrated understanding of cerebral palsy and allied neurological conditions and the potential impact on those involved
  • Knowledge of Disability Services Act (NSW) and Disability Services Standards and implications for service delivery
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
